`*~A Poem to Miss Koh~*`
*Greetings, people. Not that there are many who visit, anyway. I've written yet another poem ("AGAIN???" I hear some of you groan). THis is dedicated to Miss Koh, who has done so much for us. I'm giving those who come online a sneak preview of it. Not the whole thing, though.
Hier ist es:Of Grammar, Lemon Soup and Lollies

The memory of a dear teacher’s still fresh,
Though more than a half-year has passed.
It seems like only yesterday
When she first stepped into my class.
As she snapped out words of grammar,
We all wondered who’d set on us such a terror.
Eyes wide, we listened attentively,
While deep inside we cringed fearfully.
But as time flew by at a cheetah’s pace,
We learnt by degrees
That the “monster”, in fact,
Was more “fairy-godmother” than “wicked-witch”.
Also things that redeemed her in our eyes,
Were the numerous ice-lollies,
Plus the other gifts and candies
And, too, the good times we’d had.
Moreover, I remember of
The quaint recipes we received
Such that lemon soup was eaten with rice
And scarlet red tomatoes had sour plums inside.
Forthwith I shall gladly reveal
Who our great teacher dear is,
And that is Miss Judy Koh, naturlich
Of whom I wax lyrical with so much relish.
* This is just a fragment of what I've written. Only six out of the total fourteen stanzas. Oh yes, I was told by Miss Wee today that my poems are wonderful. I suppose to me, that's her redeeming trait. She is able to praise one so well, that sometimes, the irritating part of her is diminished. For now, I am able to think of LA periods without cringing. In fact, I guess I'm, well, waiting
longingly for one. Hahas.
